A yet to be identified gunmen have reportedly abducted one Sanusi, a son to a prominent Bauchi businessman, Garba Noma.
Daily Trust reports that the gunmen stormed the mosque located in front of the victim’s father’s house during the early morning prayer.

A family source, who spoke to journalist, revealed that Sanusi, who is a staff of the Nigerian Air Space Management Agency (NAMA) works at the Gombe International Airport. He said he was kidnapped shortly after he concluded his early morning prayer.
According to the family source, the gunmen, who stormed the mosque towards the end of the prayers, ordered everybody inside to lie down after the prayer had ended.
“After they lied down, they asked of his father, a prominent businessman and politician, Alhaji Garba Noma. The worshippers told them that he did not come to the mosque, because he travelled. They then asked after his children and someone identified Sanusi and pointed him out. The men then picked him and left. Since then, nobody has heard from them,” he said.

When contacted, the state police spokesman, DSP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incidence.
The force spokesman said: “in the early hours of today (Thursday), son of former PDP state chairman Sanusi Garba Noma, 33, was abducted by yet-to-be identified persons. The scene was visited and members of police special anti-robbery squad are on their trail.”
It would be recalled that the Rivers state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmad Muhammad, recently announced the arrested of one Bob Manuel, who was allegedly behind the abduction of the sister of Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Allison-Madueke.
Meanwhile, officials of the Anambra State police command on Sunday killed three suspected kidnappers during a shootout that ensued in a rescue operation.
